The Gypsy!

Saw her yelling on the roads with a dirty bag,
Anyone seeing her would for sure call her a hag!

We might say she is not well groomed,
But do we know her life is doomed?

Feeding on some titbits from the trash,
’Cos she doesn’t have any cash!

On my right, I see the world all green,
On my left, I see how much are we mean!

Had she a chance to be clean,
What a beautiful lady would she have been!

Some even call her a witch,
Hearing that her muscles never twitch!

Though she looks like someone from the wild,
Her emotions have never been mild!

She is of course, with her life, contended,
Only she knows her everyday being amended!

Like the leaves that, once dry fall on soil,
Never does she expect fruits of her toil!

Life hasn’t given her any trump card,
She just chose to work hard!

She wanders all day selling colourful beeds,
That’s for her family’s everyday needs!

She needn’t do any great deed,
Yet she never does plead!
